Second annual event is a dazzling celebration of food, wine and spirits from local eateries
Chandler, Ariz. – August 16, 2010 – The table is set for the second annual TASTE Chandler’s Culinary Festival 2010. Chandler’s signature culinary event will take place on Saturday, October 2, in Historic Downtown Chandler.
TASTE, presented by HDE Agency, will give patrons the opportunity to taste, savor and enjoy the delicacies of Chandler’s finest eating establishments. TASTE will take place between 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at AJ Chandler Park (3 S. San Marcos Place) in Historic Downtown Chandler between Arizona Ave. and Buffalo St.
“Last year’s TASTE festival was a huge success,” said event promoter Landon Evans of HDE Agency. “We had rave reviews, the food was excellent and we heard comments that it was a lot more intimate than the Scottsdale Culinary Festival.”
Forty (40) local restaurants and food purveyors will join forces to tantalize and dazzle Chandler residents at the culinary spectacular. Local eateries and restaurants that have committed include Cathy’s Rum Cake; Chandler BBQ; Crave Artisan Ice Cream; DVine; El Zocalo; Hungry Monk; InPockets Bakery and Catering; Kokopelli Winery& Bistro; Latitude Eight; The Living Room; Murphy’s Law; Pita Jungle; Pitta Souvli; Red, White & Brew; SanTan Brewing Company; Siracha Lounge; Urban Tea Loft; and Von Hansen’s Meat Market.
“One of the things that really made TASTE an exceptional event last year was a true sense of culinary community and the personal appearance of the owners and executive chefs of most of the restaurants that participated,” said Lynette Carrington of Arizona Sports & Lifestyle Magazine. “TASTE Chandler’s Culinary Festival is one tasty treat not to be missed in 2010.”
Tickets are $45 for adults; this is a 21-and-older event. The price includes beverages. Tickets can be purchased on-line (at www.tastechandler.com) and at SanTan Brewing Company.
For the truly indulgent, there will be a lavish VIP area where only select restaurants, sponsors and guests are invited. Be pampered with private cooking presentations from Executive Chefs at Le Cordon Bleu, succulent delicacies, and soothing jazz music and entertainment.
Portions of event’s proceeds will benefit the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity responsible for the fundraising activities of the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership (DCCP), and The Chandler Service Club, a non-profit charity that benefits the Chandler community.
TASTE Chandler’s Culinary Festival is presented in partnership with the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, Big Two Toyota, KEZ 99.9 FM and Alliance Beverage.
